In this third episode in the Beauty & the Arts' Narnia series, Shari discusses food and eating in Narnia, and what other meanings they might contain beyond - but not excluding - the act of eating, itself.

Questions to ask when examining a food scene in a story (novel, short story, play, etc):
Who all is sharing in the meal together?
What is the meal being shared?
Where are they eating?
What else is happening at this meal besides eating?
What else is being consumed besides the actual food? What else is being shared? What details within the scene make you think this?
Finally, what other stories sound similar to this one, and how might putting the two side by side help you discover something new or make new meaning come to bear?
