A new Substack for a new podcast

This is The Reader & the Writer. It started as a tiny podcast called, Beauty & the Arts (episodes you can still access here on Substack). Now, as The Reader & the Writer, co-host, Rhea Forney, and I will be discussing all things story as a way of connecting us to the Great Story, the one that finds as its opening, “In the beginning…”. In addition to the podcast, I will be writing here on Substack as the “writer” amongst us, offering a continuation of ideas on those books we’re currently discussing on the R&W, as well as other bits of curiosity and wonder I’m struck by at the moment. There will still be lots of beauty and lots of art, it’s simply re-imagined and concentrated toward the form of the story—that miracle and mystery we all live.
